I've been using Mua's eye crayons which are supposed to be a dupe of Clinique's.I've been using them with urban decay primer potion but they are still creasing, I've had no problems with standard eyeshadow, any suggestions of how to stop it creasing?

I use NYX jumbo pencils as bases for my eyeshadow. I use my primer, then a thin layer of the pencil, blend that around with my finger, then apply my shadows. Makes eyeshadow brighter, gives shimmer a surface to stick to, and can change the look of different colors (using a white pencil versus a black pencil as a base).
I find that without shadow, the pencils will crease because of the creamy texture.

Alot of these eye crayons/jumbo eye pencils are petroleum base, which is why you don't find a lot of MUA using them as petroleum based shadows will crease on you. I definitely get creasing when I use my NYX jumbo pencil. ( Creasing has never been an issue at all. I only get creasing when I use it. )

That's interesting Kitty. I never have creasing with mine when I use them as an eyeshadow base, and I have worn the same eye makeup for days at a time (through sleeping, showering, and working with steam dishwashers for hours). Do you just mean that it creases without a powder on top, or even with eyeshadow?
Also, it could be your primer. I tried the UD primer (got a free sample in a bag from Ulta) and it was awful. My makeup didn't last an hour without going to hell in a handbasket. Seriously, I melted like the Wicked Witch.

Would a layer of translucent powder help? Would it need to be above the eye crayon or below it?

I have heard that powder can help. If you aren't using shadows, I think using it above would help. Otherwise a bit underneath might help then shadow on top.
