Yes coconut oil is so awesome. You could also try argan oil. Put it in your shampoo, conditioner, even a dime sized amount to your dry hair. It's amazing.

Well i recently tried this stinky hair mask lol but seriously it worked great for my hair and i have a dark brown curly hair with split ends which i really hate so i decided to go for this mask i whisked two egg yolks+2 tbs olive oil+ 2tbs coconut oil+2tbs castor oil+2tbs almond oil +2tbs honey and avocado but u can just do the egg yolks with olive oil and honey i just added the other stuff for an extra nutrition and i shampooed my hair 3 times lol to get rid of the smell blow dried it and it looked amazing shiny and healthy the ends were so smooth.
