So I've been contemplating getting some peek a boo streaks in my bangs and dying them crazy colors. However, I'm not completely sure how to achieve that. I've looks on YouTube, but no luck. Also, I'm afraid I'll F up and not like it. Any ideas on how to... I don't know put some temporary streaks to see if I like it? I don't know, anyway, if someone could tell me how to get these at home, (yeah I know the risks of not going to a salon, blah, blah, blah) it would be greatly appreciated! :)

... I never thought about extensions. I know bleach is absolutely terrible for hair. How much are human hair extensions??

If you want to dye your hair a bright color, you'd definitely have to bleach of. My friend did the peek a boo effect on her bangs and I was the one who dyed it for her. What I did was separate her bangs into two sections, the under layer and the hair that lays over it. I bleached the under layer and dyed it pink, and then thinned out the over layer so it wasn't so thick. Because I thinned the hair, it didn't completely cover the pink underneath, giving her the peek a boo effect she wanted. (:
