I agree I've only heard positive things on the hourglass primer. Smashbox also has an oil control primer (it's the orange one)

Since you have oily skin, try this trick.
1)Buy any primer you want that is silicone based. Anything such as hard candy sheer envy, rimmel fix and perfect pro, maybelline baby skin, or loreal magic base.
2) Then, buff in loose translucent powder (never pressed for this trick) into your skin allover.
3) Apply your foundation. It doesn't matter if your foundation is cream, mousse, liquid, mineral, or powder. Your pores will be covered, your skin will look and feel smooth, no cakiness, and your makeup WILL stay on beautifully and matte the whole entiireee day. I really hope you try this trick.

Hourglass is good! But if you wanna give one more chance to drugstore primers, try the neutrogena shine control primer!

I'm in love with the demelogica skin perfect primer..it has spf 30 and helps improve the texture and appearance of the skin..I have very sensitive oily acne prone skin..my makeup lasts all day and some of my acne scars have vanished..The trick that Bri-bri L suggested works amazingly..I apply my makeup like that everyday!

^ Agreed. It is an excellent primer that is slightly luminous. Sometimes I wear it alone.
