I like the idea. But I do think the colors could be more vibrant. Next time, maybe you could use a white base (like nyx jumbo pencil, which I have and it's so fab) or a cream base (like a cream eyeshadow) that's the color of the shadow.

That nyx pencil makes anything so intense and pigmented. Make sure you're using the right brush too. It may not necessarily the shadow but the tools and prep that can be improved. I've used dollar store makeup and it turned out good because of those two things.

I love the colors! I also like the soft look of them. If it were me (and this isn't a suggestion I'm just saying what I would do) I would put some eyeliner on just a little bit. I've always loved the look of black against bright colors lol.

I think if you used a really good primer the colors would pop a bit more and not look as chalky or unnoticeable. It looks very nice , the shadow just has little pigment. I use Urban decay eyeshadow Primer Potion.

The primer will save every eyeshadow trust me (even dollar store shadow, I've tried)

Gorgeous just maybe add a bit of gold or silver shimmer right in the centre of your lid to add dimension x
