Yeah I think if you use a khol liner then shadow on top, maybe smudge with a q tip, you'd get a good grungy look.

I would start by priming the eyes, and then applying a warm orange brown shadow to the crease on a fluffy blending brush. Next I would line the upper lashline with a black kohl pencil and smudge the outer edge for a smokier and more grungey look. I find using a pencil brush to smudge it will give the most precise look, and it should never look "muddy". Like Mhairi said, if you need to just clean up with a Q-tip. Next apply the kohl liner to the bottom lashline and in the waterline. On the bottom lashline, extend the eyeliner so it meets up with the wing on the top lashline. Apply a load of mascara. Finish off with a matte white browbone and inner corner highlight. Good luck!
