Just see what the people going to dinner are wearing! At my school we have dinner at prom. Just be careful, it's such a pretty dress I would hate if you spilled anything!

Everyone here wears their dresses for the dinner and then just go to prom. Prom night we'd go to any restuarant and there's be a ton of girls in their dresses and guys in their suits

I would just because that night is probably the only time you'll wear the dress. And you won't want to mess with changing in a hurry...(:

Yep, it's perfectly fine! My friend wore her prom dress (before prom!) to her sisters wedding! Dresses are made to be worn more than once, so wear that dress as many times as you damn well please!:)

Wow everyone goes to eat before prom? Here in my city everyone would go to prom and then go out to eat after! I've never been to a prom but this is always what people do here and I've only been to an 8th grade social which is like a little 8th grade prom.

Wait, they don't serve food at your prom? My proms both had a full catered dinner with dessert!

I don't see why it you wouldn't wear it to dinner if your entire group is going to be dressed up. But then again, that doesn't happen here so I don't really have any experience to draw on. I suppose just be careful about spilling or dripping or accidentally sitting in dirty booths.

Have fun!
