Ipsy was exciting at first, but then it got repetitive with the brands and wasn't all that exciting anymore. I will admit I got a lot of cute makeup bags from it though.

I have birch box, and I unsubscribed to ipsy because I didn't like the brands or products I was getting. They're pretty cheap and unheard of, but that's just me haha.

I was subscribed to Ipsy for about a year and I liked it for the most part. The brands did start to get pretty repetitive, but the products themselves were usually pretty good and they are usually full size or travel size.
I've never subscribed to Birchbox but I've seen and heard things about it, and to me it seems you're paying for a bunch of samples you could ultimately get for free.
So overall I'd say go with Ipsy instead of Birchbox. There's more than likely a waiting list, but then again there probably is with Birchbox too.

Birchbox was great at first! Super fun and some very interesting and different products. Most of them were just sample size. In the end I felt like they weren't providing brands I knew enough about to care and the products were kind of getting boring.
Then I had ipsy! I love it so much better! I don't have it anymore but that's only because I'm broke haha! When you're in college you need to save money! The products are almost always full size or travel which is great! I found out about a lot of brands specifically for makeup/hair/skin care etc. they can get repetitive but it's usually something different every time in terms of products. Some of the products are amazing! I once received a $27 blending brush in my bag! I absolutely love it and I like how they customize it for you! You take a beauty personality quiz unlike birchbox where you just put skin hair and eye color.
Hope this helped!

Ipsy is really nice. For a couple months, it was lame, but my past 3 bags have all been amazing. Yes, you will see lots of indie brands, but there are also popular brands like benefit, UD, etc. totally worth it for 10$. Try it for a month and see how you like it.

I have ipsy and I really like it. I often get full sized products. lately I've been getting some benefit, ud and makeup brushes which I love the most. I don't regret it at all and I think its wonderful. I would never subscribe to birchbox because in all the reviews I watch it looks like they only give samples away.

I have Ipsy and Glossybox!, and I think they're both worth the money, I mean ten dollars a month for ipsy and I got the new benetint (I'm blanking on the name.) The new ud eye pencil made for smokey eyes, and more! Glossybox, though is more geared towards older women, ands it's $20 a month. Although in Glossybox I've gotten samples of skincare that cost well over 200 dollars, I also get full size products worth up to 20 dollars!
