Since you have red in your hair. The only way you can lighten it without it changing copper or orange is bleaching it. I have red hair and I always had to bleach my hair for when I dyed it or else it would still have red in it. Red is one of the hardest colors to dye and get rid of.

I'm about to do the same and I'm going to have a pro do it. While I'm sure you can DIY for me it's just too risky. I've turned my hair some crazy colors and I'm really afraid of frying it.

I don't see any red, just a warm toned brown. anytime you lighten dark hair you run a chance of it turning brassy. You can lighten it with out bleach but I would go to a pro since box color tends to pull orange anyways.
