I usually live in beanies in colder weather as I wear a hat for work which flattens my hair, how can I cover my hair/head whilst commuting to work, I work in a hospital and have to change at work so can't wear anything short or too outrageous, I usually wear a maxi skirt with a plain top and a leather jacket or a floral dress so I'm struggling to pair them.

You could try turban headbands.

Just use a lightweight scarf.

Or a bandana would work too.

Bandana or at the Black Beauty Supply Store I snagged a light, crochet scull cap for about $2. They always have great hair products and accessories. :)
