I bought this $2 Chinese Mascara from china town. You would think this mascara would be crap... Right? But it's freaking amazing! Once I got it in my eye, no irritation AT ALL, I just pushed it out and if I get too lazy to take my mascara off, I don't wake up with raccoon eyes like my maybelline! I can keep it on for days without raccoon eyes or it fading away... Wtf! It's my holy grail! But I changed the brush because I like my old brush, but what the heck is with the formula... It's called hen fang day 2 night defines length / intense volume mascara.

Yipes. I won't buy dog food or toys from China as they are laden with harmful and sometimes deadly ingredients. No way I'd put their products near my eyes. I'm glad that you like it, but please be careful.

I'm with Rozberry, and I pray you don't leave your mascara on that long.It is not good for you.

I agree with MaKenzie. Mascara is a breeding ground for mites and it is unhealthy to leave mascara on for days at a time. It may also cause your lashes to get brittle and break if you continue to not remove it nightly.

Really girls? It probaby comes from the same factory high end mascara comes from. I know what you're saying but I doubt its going to be tar or something. I have to agree about the not wearing it for days though..

Chinese dog food with melamine in it and lead paint on toys...I doubt they care what they put in their mascara. I realize some huge brands are made there, but those brands are established and they have corporations that would collapse if they were unsafe. They are reputable due to quality control. I doubt that same level of care and control is in a Chinese made off brand. That's just my personal comfort level.

Thanks Nala :) I respect your comfort zone Rozberry, I'm just saying that they most likely are all made in the same place. I'm not really sure if I'd trust America to look too carefully either, if the FDA don't really care what goes in the food I doubt they'll be strict about cosmetics. :)

^yep. A lot of the products you know aren't made in America, put are repackaged with a new name to give it a higher price tag. Clothes, cosmetics, weave lol
And yea, America isn't as safe as people presume.

Totally agree.
Plus with private labelling it really could be the exact same thing and we'd never know.
I found this on a website about China's laws
The Hygienic Standard for Cosmetics published by the Ministry of Health in 2007 has banned over 1200 chemicals in cosmetics and restricted the use of 73 chemicals, 56 preservatives, 156 colorants, 28 sun block agents and 93 dyes in cosmetics. Before companies apply for hygiene license or record-keeping certificate, companies shall make sure their formula meets this hygienic standard.

You should know one thing too. If product says "made in china" and you see that it is awful product it doesn't mean that it is made in China. I know what you're thinking. How product that is said that it is made in China could not be made in China. A lot of those illegal things are made in Russia. They just use the tag "made in China".

You could look the brand up, do some research. But if probably stop using it if you don't find one review or even a picture of it aha.
