What Is The Best Way To Create The Doe Eyes Or Cat Eyes With Eyeliner?

Anyone have any suggestions to help with creating a cat eye look or doe eyed look with liner or eye shadow? What kind or brand of liner do you use? I know how to do a smoky eye but whenever I try to do the "wing" or flip with the liner on the side of my eye it never comes out looking right!!!:-/ please help thank you :-)
