I have the driest hair ever and I'm giving up hope. :( my hair stylist'a mention it all the time. I've tried coconut oil, putting it in my hair for 10 minutes or so. Tonight I'm going to try putting it in for an hour or so. I don't know what else to do. I put my biosilk oil in after I shower and Blowdry but I'm just so down about it :( any tips?

Well you should definitely leave it in your hair longer than 10 minutes. you can leave it while you sleep if you wanted too. get a deep conditioner, leave in conditioner, hair masks. do you use a lot of heat? always use a heat protectant.

I do use heat because I literally have a Afro if I don't. But I always use heat protection. I use chi iron guard & silk elements heat protection lotion. Do you ladies have any recommendations for a heat protection? And I'll put it in for acouple hours tonight :)

And I just got 3 inches cut off about an hour ago so I cut my dry ends off!

It's a 10 is a good protectant. try looking up no heat hairstyles on YouTube. using heat so much, even with a protectant, will damage your hair. also, don't use the highest heat setting. I think the highest you should use was 350. but don't quote me on it lol.

Do you ever use deep conditioning treatments? It sounds like you need a really deep treatment.

You should try something like a leave in frizz serum, or some kind of leave in product.

Be careful with protein, though. too much will dry out your hair.

So if you're using a shampoo/conditioner with protein, I'd skip out on a protein mask. I recommend you try a shampoo & conditioner from the L'oreal line. I use the L'oreal Everstrong.

I haven't tried a protein mask! What are some good kinds? And I do use some deep treatments but nothing extremely deep, I haven't found one yet. :( and I do use it's a 10 leave in.

Try a deep conditioning treatment and get your hair trimmed to remove the split ends. Don't use heat very often either. Try mixing morracan oil with your conditioner when you condition :)

Let your hair naturally dry, I also use clear shampoo&conditioner, the color&repair one but any of them are great :) and try leaving the coconut oil in your hair overnight, put it in a plastic hair cap, and towel if you want and in the morning it'll be super soft!

But definitely don't blow dry, I find its the most drying of any kind of heat products :0.

If you trust in home remedies then I must say try this-
1 banana (peeled) +1cup curd mix them into grinder and strain then apply this mixture in dry hair for 1 hr then wash it off wid your regular shampoo :)

I think your stylist will be able to recommend a gud conditioner or mask for your hair since dey know how your hair better. You could try a keratin treatment. it'll remove the frizz n stay for about 3 months. But make sure that the salon is using a formaldehyde free treatment. I wouldn't recommend it otherwise. honestly coconut oil need not go for more then an hour in your hair. it won't make a difference if you keep it over nite. k husband I am not too sure about bananas in the hair coz my friend tried it once and it got stuck in her hair. had to wash it several times to remove it which made her hair dry again.

Use a deep condition with mayonnaise. Leave in hair for 20 min and rinse out. Works wonders!
