I've been natural for about 8 years now and my hair is screaming for a relaxer I am kind of scared to relax it don't want it 2 fall out any hair routines so that it won't fall out?

Curly Nikki is going to be a better form to ask this on as it's a natural hair care forum.

I'd personally be super afraid to expose my hair to a perm after 8 years without it. Maybe a low strength one?

My cousin told me about curly Nikki...I know Erin I do get wash n sets when I don't have a weave in but I out a weave in right after my hair is a nice length after being natarul for so long I use 2 get perms and after about 2 months my hair falls out.

Ditto, which is why I went natural in the first place. I mean I feel like if you stay on top of and take care of your hair you should be ok, I just don't know the right way to go about it.

Wow.. What's making you want a relaxer now? Most people these days are going the other route. If I knew way back then what I know now I would never have had my hair relaxed..but at that time it was up to my mom lol
if you do want it straightened I would definitely go with the lightest strength and deep conditioners.
Some people don't realize that a good blow dry and flat ironing can make your hair look just as straight.

Lol you are right about the good blow out but honestly my hair is so thick that after about 2 days its back poofy again I don't know maybe its just a faze that I'm going through lol.

Lol I know what you mean.
Have you thought about a Keratin treatment? They have so many new products out there it's crazy. I saw something that allows you to keep your natural hair but also have it straight.

I've thought about a treatment but are there harsh chemicals in them? or is there like a more natarul 1.

Honestly I think there are harsh chemicals in anything that can change the texture of your hair. I think relaxers may be the harshest. I'll try to find the ad that I saw in one of my hair books and let you know.
