Just like the title. What Are the Pros and Cons on fake lashes. My prom is coming up in about less then a month and I really want to put on fake lashes, but I'm kind of scared, since I've never put the on before, it'll be my first time. Any good drug store brands lashes & lash glue?? Also any tips on how to take them off or to like "hide" them so they can look natural??

So, the pros are that they can look gorgeous and pretty natural if they're applied right. The cons are that they're hard to apply, but if you practice then it gets much easier :) the other problem I find is that sometimes the edges peel up a bit after an extended period of time.
I personally like Duo Lash Glue and Ardell lashes. Also, you can try demi (half) lashes if full lashes seem a bit too difficult. Again, practice makes perfect!

My fave glue is duo. I love fake lashes I find it really complements the look. get some natural looking ones that arents too thick or else itll look like halloween lol. I don't see any cons to it. if you are uncomfortable, pratice a lot and watch yt videos.

- glue: duo or lash adhesive
-you just grab the outer corner and slowly peel them off
-make sure to clean the glue in stuff off them
-don't put mascara in the actual lash. Just use the mascara to blend your lashes with the fake at the base
- the foolproof way to put them on:
-use a thin liner brush to paint the glue on your lash line like liner
-place the lash on yours from by matching up the middle of the lash with the middle of your eye, then laying down the corners. Don't forget to press the lashes together and blend with mascara
-I find liquid liner to be easiest to conceal the band. Gel liner's brush can sometimes disturb the lash placement if not careful
-don't forget to measure the lashes and cut them from the outer corner
-here's a pictorial of me putting on the glue

It sucks when you get glue in your eye because it will be blurry like all day and my eye will get really wet not watery just wet lol but I do love the look the give me but another thing is I hate when they give me a wing on the outter of my eye lol

I DO NOT recommend prom being the first time you've ever worn them. I would get a cheap pack with a few pairs and PRACTICE before. They can very easily go wrong and ruin all your makeup in the process.
pros:
look amazing if put on right
complete the look
cons:
inner corners can come up really easily
feel heavy on eyes sometimes
I recommend salon perfect natural lashes or any ardelle lashes and duo lash glue. Amazing. also, using tweezers to apply them makes it a lot easier. If you're intimidated by wearing a full lash, you can always buy half lashes or cut a full lash in half. they are much easier to apply as well.

^agreed, try to put them on and wear them out a bit when you have time so you know how they work and all! :) also I find that the trick to them staying on is to put the glue on the lash, then dab a bit of glue on each end of the eyelash :) not too much on the inside part though :p.

I rarely wear them. When I do, I use Ardell or Red Cherry and Duo Lash glue. Even then, I trim about 1/4 off so they fit nicely.

Definitely try and apply them a couple times before the big day so you know how to do it. Also be aware that many lash glues contain latex, which can cause irritation. If you can, use a latex-free glue or make sure you test it beforehand to make sure it won't irritate your eyes. Nothing is worse than puffy, itchy eyes at prom.
I really like Kiss lashes and glue (available at Walmart for $2-$4). I usually don't have to trim mine, but if you do make sure to trim from the outside so the small lashes stay intact (helps them look more natural). I apply the glue to the band, wait 45 seconds to a minute for the glue to get tacky, then carefully apply them. I stick on the middle first, then the inner corner, then the outer corner (that's just how it is easiest for me). I usually use a felt-tipped liner pen or gel liner to hide the band, but a pencil can work if you're careful.
You can also try individuals (little clumps of 3-4 lashes) and place them on the outer parts of your lash line for a simple and natural look. However, they can be a little more tricky to apply.

False eyelashes really irritate me. They make my eyelids feel heavy - I've never lasted a whole night with fake eyelashes on. I don't recommend wearing them to prom if it's the first time you've ever tried it. Definitely practice a few times and see how you feel about it before going all in and wearing them for a whole night!
Pros - they look lovely when applied correctly
Cons - makes eyelids feel heavy, can be very frustrating if you apply them incorrectly or they aren't the right size, corners can come off fairly easily

^amber, I think you might just need a different brand of lashes if yours feel too heavy :)
