Yup donate that would be best, I went thru that stage and I felt bad because it was a lot of clothes my mom had bought me. but little by little I started getting rid of it (donating) then started working and little by little bought my own clothes until it became "my" closet you can say. and if working is not an option, save up :)

Donate your clothes...and just buy new clothes lol you don't have to in one day buy a whole new wardrobe just a few items here and there

When you donate your clothing, ask for a tax receipt. You can then give that to your parents who, in turn, can deduct the donation on next year's taxes. It is a win all the way around.
My mother never liked my clothing or style and still isn't a fan, but that's okay. I do my best to be respectful in her presence, but now that I'm out of the house that's obviously done with great ease. While at home, I was always true to myself and kept in line with house rules. My parents did not purchase my clothing as I worked to buy them and so while they weren't crazy about all that black or leather, we agreed to disagree. My mom was vocal about her displeasure at the time and so I had clothes I'd wear for home that were simple and modest and then change just before going out.
