Okay, so last night I used a fine tip brush that came with my brush set to do my nail design. It seemed to work ok, but it was only a step up from using a toothpick. nothing else I can think of...HELP?!

I find a brush with a long fine tip works the best, you get it full of polish, and it stays wetter longer then a short fine tip brush

You can use a sharpie or gel pen, just be careful and make sure it's dry totally before you alway top coat. You can also use a nail art pen or a dotting tool or striping tape (my fave)

You can use acrylic paint, and put a top coat on it.
