If it's REALLY bad, I suggest you use a product with Benzoyl Peroxide in it. I use Dermix 10% Benzoyl Peroxide wash and it helps sooo much. It ranges from $10-$13. Just don't use it every single day because it can cause flakiness and dryness with excessive use.

I have a hormone imbalance and as a result, I still break out in my mid 20s. Acne meds from the Dr didnt help. what works great is burts bees acne face wash. I wash my face then apply a mixture of apple cider vinegar and equal parts water to my face with a cotton ball. I mixed out myself and you can fine apple cider vinegar in any grocery store. once that dries, I,apply say yes to tomatoes acne spot stick. I do this routine when I wake up, and also before bed. my skin went from horrible to almost no break outs in about a week. The acv mixture smells, but once its dry there is no odor. Also, try to keep your hair out of your face :)

ice is also good I do it every morning before applying my foundation it numbs my face but then it looks good i have very bad acne :( too

If it keeps happening see a dr. Prescription meds did work with me, but I had to try a couple of combos. Try a clay mask, stuff with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Sorry it's so bad it hurts

Go to your doctor, there is a roll on solution you can get to use daily. (Bit like a roll on deodorant). No beauty product works better!

I've had realy bad acne for some years, but its much better now. My skin clearded out after i started to think about what i eat. My diet is not bad at all - all i need is to stay away from to much carbs. I also clean my skin with the clinique 3step blemish solutions, i also use the cllinique exfoliate 2 a week. These three things work wonders for my acne skin.

Be sure to also change the towels you dry your face with and your pillow covers consistently; bacteria can grow on them and clog your pores. I know from experience.

Use toothpaste, It sounds crazy but, it works for me! And I also use Proactive- Very helpful!
