Today my combination to combat this is : Revlon color stay (which has been the best staying/coverage foundation I've tried. Benefit erase paste for concealer (I don't love the color selection it comes with, but I like the thickness for coverage, this is bonded with a beauty blender. Setting with Makeup Forever HD Finishing Powder (really light weight and transparent.)
Today I went without a real powder and opted for the translucent setting powder to lessen the amount of products used on my face in hopes it lessens the oily cakeyness that usually follows by the afternoon.
Really looking for other suggestions on makeup/foundation for oily acne prone skin with scarring!

I have combination dry/oily sensitive skin, and I also suffer with spots and scars. It took me a while to find what worked best for my skin but the first thing I would say is to definitely try and use less product. Heavy foundation will not only block your pores and make your skin worse, it won't give your skin chance to breathe and will make it more oily. Try investing in a good primer. Primers are often very good for skin and you can get ones specially designed for oily skin. Smashbox do a great range of primers and I would definitely recommend either looking at their website and trying one out. I also use their Liquid Halo foundation and while it was pricey, the two were great investments because I don't feel like I'm wearing thick make-up. :) Just test, test, test, and you'll find a product that's right for you!

Thanks! I've always been weary with using primers before I found it was just putting more oilyness on my face, but I have learned that you need to let them set before adding foundation. And I do have some samplers of Smashbox and heard it's a great product.
Testing is definitely the worst part! Spending all that money for not good results.

Yup! Thankfully, I got to know Smashbox through my local Boots. :) They did my makeup for free and I was so in love with the products I brought a primer and foundation there and then! Never say no to free makeup!

Wow @Taylor P. that coverage looks great.
Do you still experience any oilyness or cakeyness throughout the day?
I've heard Clinique has really good foundation and I'm looking to pick up some today but I definitely want to try out the Rimmel one too!
What are you using to treat your acne?

Wow Taylor! That's an amazing process to conceal your acne/scarring. Do you find the dermablend easy to use? I saw the pots at the shop and found them really hard and thick. I want the coverage but I'm unsure whether it would cake me out
