So I put on a mud mask that I recently purchased it said leave on for 2-3 minutes and oh course I left it on for more than the recommended time why does it cause that?Well a better question to ask is what can I put on it so it reduces the blotchy skin and pimples?

Mud or clay mask draw out impurities from your skin so if you had a pimple under the skin it's going to pull it to the surface ,however if your getting pimples all over and red blotches it may not be the mask for you some ingredients in mask don't agree with everyone's skin ,like if a mask has avocado in it I can't use it I will breakout and start iching ,

Yes, I once used a mud mask and couldn't believe how badly it burned my skin. I can't remember the brand because it was so long ago, something bought at CVS. My skin was highly sensitive or allergic to whatever the ingredients were, so I made sure to moisturize it a lot after that.
