I agree with the ladies. Exfoliate and shower..then moisturize prior to application for even coverage. Use sparingly around skin folds such as the knees, neck, ankles and elbows. I apply mine with disposable gloves, but St. Tropez has a nice pad/mitt for foam application as well. I like Jergens gradual tan, but I have heard great things about Garnier. Many people rave on St. Tropez. Keep the product moving to avoid patches and let it air dry before putting sleepwear on. Sometimes color transfers so I'd do it evenings before bed. Staying moisturized will help extend your tan. Don't forget to SPF and use a tan tone intended for the skin you have rather than what you desire. Good luck!
