Ok, so I'm a little confused.. but is there a right order to go in? Like, do you apply the dark shadow on the outer part first or the lighter color? Does it matter?

A true smokey eye has the darkest color on the lid and it gets lighter towards the browbone.

Yea Renay, that's usually what I do too but I saw a few pictorials doing the opposite. So I was like hmmmmmm? lol.

Well that's not a smokey eye, a smokey eye is like what cami posted. Darkest near the lash line and smokes outward. For that picture, I'd suggest doing the lid color first, then the crease color and blend.

Trolls are trolls and will be appropriately dealt with! Let's move on ladies ;)
For a gradient eye like that? I would maybe start out with a white base and start with the purple color first. I'd build it up, finish off the rest then go ahead and re-apply another layer of the purple. I hope that makes sense ☺
