I've never had them but if you want to get them I think you should and then you'll know if you like them or not, if you don't like them just don't get them again :-)

I personally prefer natural nails. I do live slightly longer nails myself, but not enough to like acrylics. I just think they look too fake.

See if there's a place that does liquid gels ( not gel polish) When I stopped getting acrylics because of them being weak and cheap looking, my nail tech suggested liquid gel which at the time he was the only one in my state to have the products & know how to do them. I'm pretty sure they are widely available now. I go 3 to 4 weeks with out a fill compared to 2 weeks, they don't yellow and just today dropping my dog at the groomers two people asked me if they were my real nails. I LOVE them. My nails are very long so I usually don't use tips he just free hands it (amazing) but polish never stays on my nails so the liquid gel has been a life saver. sorry this is so long just something to think of I've turned a lot of people I know on to them & my nail guy.

Acrylic nails seriously damage and weaken your nails so I would recommend possibly getting gel/shellac nails done as they look really nice aswell :-)

They don't allow your nails to retain moisture but personally after I get them removed and they're exposed to the moisture out doors they're fine. It's usually not permanent damage if they're done properly and removed properly. If you like them definitely get them, if it turns out you hate them just don't get them again.

I absolutely love acrylics!! They are horrible for your nails though. I had them for about 4-5 years and finally got them off and let me nails completely grow out two-three times before all the damage was gone and I had them professionally taken off. I kept them or so long because I loved the look and feel plus they never chipped or broke like my real nails did!

If you keep up with them and keep them on they are absolutely amazing!! It's just when you take them off that is hard on your nails
