Just delving into the vast world of coconut oil lol. wondering what the many benefits and uses are especially for the face. I have slightly sensitive, definitely oily t-zone but combo skin, Lots of blackheads that I canNot get rid of no matter what I try, large pores and somewhat acne prone n slightly bumpy texture in few small places. so would coconut oil even work for me? thanks in advance loves :-)

As amazing as coconut oil is, I've read it's not the best for problematic skin. I use it as an eye make up remover but that's about it only because I have acne prone skin. They say jojoba oil is better for problematic skin.

If you already have congested skin it may make it worse because it's not non comedogenic but I do use it occasionally,it won't help with enlarged pores or black heads salicylic acid and AHA are better for that

I have the worst sensitive skin in the planet and the only thing that worked for me as a nighttime moisturizer is coconut oil.I have tried a lot, from the much raved origins overnight mask, clinique, boscia and some highend prods that just does not seem to have any effect on my skin but give me really bad breakouts and little bumps on the face.I do use retin-a and AHA,I alternate them, and as much as I love highend stuff slathered on my face I'm stuck with the $5 vco from trader joe's! 😱😱😱Anyway just try it.some people liked it,others don't.

Thanks girls :-) miss traci salicyic acid seems to do nothing for me. my skin is definitely clearing up a lot but the blackheads n my tzone are terrible. I've been battling them for years. I've tried SO many things to no avail. I exfoliate regularly and use a aha mask frm time to time. what is the best thing to help? I don't know much about aha's and would love to learn more. I'm sure you can enlighten me oh wise one :-)

If you don't have sensitive skin AHA are great I use to get blackheads all the time also I got a clarisonic it's a investment but I do recommend it that or a luna will help keep your pores clear and using a salicylic cleanser when your not using it you can just use a gentle cleanser like cerave with it,also retinol helps with everything cell turnover, breakouts, blackheads, and it's anti aging Roc sensitive skin retinol is a good way to start,a pea size amount three times a week to see if your skin will tolerate it and spf daily.

Ok great! thanks bunches traci :) and my skin is a lil on the sensitive side but nt terribly so. I very briefly tried retinol and liked it. I was wondering about garniers new moisturizer that seems to very similar to a bb/cc ream. it has retinol spf and some other good benefits. I can't remember the name. ultra lift maybe? I would really like to try it if I can find any good reviews about it. the price point is good as well. around $15 at walmart.

I recommend you try roc sensitive retinol hun and only use it at night , it's the best drugstore retinol and for sensitive skin then put a moisturizer ontop like cerave.and using a eye cream will definitely help with the signs of aging.
