I agree with Hollie. I'm far from a professional but I do think one needs:
-good brushes. Makeup mommy (Jackie) recommends Bdelluim tools brushes. Affordable and quality. I'm going to order them! Lol
-a range of foundations on the dark side and the light side (so you can mix for the shades in between)
-products for different skin types
-sanitary tools like alcohol, wipes, q-tips, disposable mascara wands, etc.

I agree with the ladies above. The most important thing to remember though in my opinion is, QUALITY OVER QUANTITY, because you are working on other's skin and although it is important to do so when workersng on yourself as well, you don't want to harm anyone or anything pike that. You get what you pay for.:)))))
