I have really fine hair and heat, wind, or just brushing it gives me bad split ends and I don't want to cut it I need it to grow. what can I do any good products or home remedies?

You have to trim them, at least a little. Split ends, if left unchecked, will continue to split up the shaft of your hair. Then, when you do cut it, you'll have to cut off even more. In the meantime, just keep it healthy; avoid heat and try something like the It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in after you shower. Don't brush your hair when it's wet.

Don't comb/brush your hair when it's wet, avoid heat and get a deep conditioner. You have to get them trimmed because as Hannah said, it will continue to spilt up the shaft and it'll be worse.

Everything everyone said.
And use a moisterizing mask once a week. Make sure its a "moisture" mask & not a repairing mask or reconstructor. Those last 2 I mentioned contain protein and can actually dry out your hair when used too often or left on too long. And make sure you get your hair trimmed regularly. Every 8-12 weeks or so. Make sure your hairdresser knows your goals. That you want to grow your hair out and agree on how much she's going to cut before she starts. You just want your ends "dusted". Try not to use heat on your hair, esp. on your ends. And apply a light application of hair oil on your ends every day. I like Aveda DryRemedy Daily Moisterizing Oil. It's extremely light bit very moisturizing to the hair and has no silicone in it. Silicone can smooth out your hair and make it look good but it actually dries out your hair in the long run. Any product that has ingredients that end in "cone" has silicone in it. Silicone is a derived from Silica, the same thing they throw into little packets that you find in new purses & vitamin supplements. They put that in their because they absorb moisture to keep things dry & mold free. Use a sulfate free shampoo. I like Wen, but they're a lot on the market nowadays.

Oh, and get the WET Brush, its amazing. Although try to keep brushing to a minimum. Hair vitamins could hurt also. Wont repair your ends but will optimize the spees that your hair grows.
