Since it is warming up, I want to change up my makeup routine. I normally apply bb cream, then concealer, then two different powders. But I don't want to have to apply that much now, especially since it will basically "melt" off in the heat.

What do you ladies suggest? Any specific products?
I am on a budget, so drugstore brands would be best.

Also I have so much trouble finding a shade that matches my skin tone without looking orange! And I have acne and redness, so I would like to conceal that.

My favorite bb cream at the time is maybellines new one. It's really amazing.

Is that the dream fresh one Alexa? If so I have tried it and the lightest shade is a bit dark on me, and makes me look orange!

I suggest a primer to prevent the bb creme from melting off. Unfortunately I have no suggestions since I use Dutch products which are obviously not sold in the US (I'm assuming youre american). you can also use a setting spray, I use the one from elf and its only like 4 euros!

Welcome.

I would continue wearing bb cream. But instead of concealer to your problem areas just apply a corrector. A green corrector will be good for you. Green neutralizes redness. Then after just apply your powder. And set it with a a setting spray. Ulta sells travel size urban decay spray.

Can I ask why you use 2 different powders?

:) I lightly use a powder foundation, then I use a matte powder because my face is oily. Is that bad?

Great suggestions,I would like to add that when using primer under BB cream that will make the makeup slide off as well as use of over powdering.

Thank you Alma! Would you suggest I skip the bb cream for summer? And just use a powder foundation?

What is your skin type, dry/combo/oily? What kind of coverage are you looking for, sheer, light, medium, heavy?

Because I have oily skin I find bb creams make me look oily in the summer. However I loveee Marcelle Sheer Tint Moisturizer. I personally love L'Oreal True Match. It's a light coverage foundation but is buildable in places you need to cover blemishes and redness. My skin is oily and this foundation has a satin/dewy finish so I use a primer. I highly recommend using a primer in the summer to hold your makeup on. For drugstore check out Rimmel Fix and Perfect Pro but I personally love Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. You can get the smaller size (which lasts a longgg time) for only $20. If you have really oily skin maybe check out Revlon Colorstay. A lot of people like it but it made me break out badly. Also for powder I love L'Oreal True Match Powder and Marcelle pressed or loose powder. As a concealer check out Maybelline Age Rewind, I love their concealers! For a heavier concealer check out Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer. Hope this helped!
