I use bronzer to contour and wondered if your not meant to use it and how to use it. I want to know how to contour and what to use to contour as I use bronzer to contour. is that right or wrong.

Nope, you aren't supposed to use bronzer: it's too brown-toned and often shimmery, if I'm correct. In the words of Velen; "Shadows don't sparkle". Use a kit with a grey-toned powder or whatever specifically made for contouring.

You're probably going to get a million comments on here, because contouring with bronzer is a big no-no in the BL community, lol.

Like autumn said bronzers are not meant for contouring, if you want to contour invest in a good product jacqueline recommended the kevyn aucoin sculpting powder and I fell in love a shadow is grey and bronzers are mostly orange some of them are matte with no shimmer but they font have that grey undertone that gives the illusion on the shadow, a bronzer is meant to add warmth to the face like when you get a tan, you want to put it on your forehead the brige of your nose think of it as if you were getting tan at the beach, if your interested on the kevyn aucoin sculpting powder you can always get it here in beautylish.

I do believe (though I may be inaccurate) that bronzer can be used on your cheeks, just to bronze, not contour. Like, not under your cheekbones, but on the side of your cheek, if that makes since.

Well you can put it in the place that you would use contour, but it wouldn't really be consider contouring because the shade that bronzer is would not give off the right affect that a contour is supposed to give off. You should be using a sculpting kit such as Anstasia BH contour kit. I believe Smashbox, Makeup Forever and Nyx make them too.

If you like bronzer just use it, they're are to different looks tho don't mix them up. contour to mimic a shadow and sculpt (thin) your face and bronze for a sun glowy look

I find bronzer to look a bit muddy (as some of the mods put it) if used on the temples, hairline, and jawline, or anywhere besides the cheek. I like using bronzer on the hollows of my cheek. Autumn's completely right, you want something matte and neutral to create a shadow. I myself use a concealer palette and blend it out, but there are many nice powder palettes for contouring. NYX and Anastasia's are the ones I've heard the most about lately

I use hard candy cream bronzer... Only cause I can't afford a contour kit, but it works great for me! & also lasted me awhile.
