So I've heard a lot of people saying to help in hair growth, you should massage coconut oil tho the roots of your hair. My question is, where do you buy the oil? What does it look like, is there a particular brand that works best?

Nothing will really grow your hair faster, that's determined purely by genetics. Coconut oil and other oils/treatments will just condition your hair, which is good because then it won't break off and you'll have less split ends. But as far as actually increasing the growth/rate of growth it won't do much.
I recently used coconut oil as a deep treatment mask because my hair was feeling so dry. All I did was take some when it was solid and rub in in my hands until it started melting and then put it through my hair. I used quite a bit and let it sit for a couple hours before rinsing. You don't have to leave it on that long, I just did because I wasn't doing anything else and my hair was feeling so dry. It's much more hydrated now :) I also got a new conditioner and that's helping as well

I never apply it to my roots, but instead to the ends. I just started taking Biotin 2 months ago. I've seen firsthand the difference it made for my friend..just takes diligence and time.
