I tried the headband curls method and I left it in overnight but it didn't work out. My hair looked the same. Could it be that it doesn't work on thick hair?

Try doing it with damp hair first, it may help! Also if you have any hairspray/dry shampoos or texturising/hold stuff then use it to help :)

I have really thick & long hair & it works great for me it just takes practice. I would suggest doing it when your hair is slightly damp & apply any kind of serum or mousse so you get more definition. Also when rolling up the hair make sure you get all the hair & it's tight enough.
