What can you do to make your hair grab onto the box hair color better? I have hilites on my reddish hair and before I dyed it red my hair was brown with blonde hilites but the red didnt grab onto the hilites. So now the red is fadeing and I want it a dark brown now. But.

It might not be even because your adding a color on top of 2 different colors also the red tones are hard to get rid of but maybe one of the pros here can help you out better that was just my experience...good luck.
