Anyone have tips for cutting/trimming side bangs at home
Nov 30, 2012
Mavie M.
Yes!! I ONLY cut my bangs at home! I'm going to do this stepwise.
1. Take hair that you want to be your bangs, or your current bangs that need trimming in your hand
2. If you want the bangs to swoop left, take the hair to the right side of your face. If you want your bangs to swoop right, then take the hair to the left side of your face. Basically, you want to cut your hair on the opposite side of where they will eventually swoop.
3. Take your scissors and trim as much hair as you'd like -- just remember that if you have wet hair, trim less hair than you think you should because when it dries, it will always be shorter than it was when it was wet.
4. Then take the tip of your scissors and cut into the tips of the hair (so think of it as if you're stabbing the hair with scissors--such a weird comparison I know)
You're all set! Let me know if this works for you!
