Thanks ladies :)
@Emily: I just want to have a small tattoo which won't be seen while I'm wearing scrubs or any kind of professional outfits but Still haven't made up my mind to get one:)
where can I find clear retainers?

I think you can find the retainers at places that sell body jewelry. Sometimes you can ask your piercer and they will sell you some. You can also find them online fairly inexpensively. :)

Personally I would leave them as is. I'm a nurse myself at one of the top ten hospitals in the country. I have multiple piercings in my ears and 4 tattoos. I wear small studs when I'm working and my tattoos aren't showing. I've seen plenty of others who have the same as me and doctors with full sleeves. When push comes to shove there will always be patients and families who judge healthcare workers, but always for different things. Unless you had a prof tell you not to have them or you don't like them, from a professional standpoint I see no reason to get rid of them :)

Thanks Harlyn and Amber:)
I was just depressed about all the comments I have been getting since I got pierced. Ppl can get very rude, some have even told that I don't belong in a med school. I have given up a lot of things I like to get into a med school and still *frustrated*
