So I want to go get a pedicure tomorrow but I am worried! I dropped something on my big toe a few weeks ago so the nail is bruised. I'm scared they will refuse to do my nails as they may think it's a fungus (a bruised toenail and a nail with fungus actually look pretty similar). What do you all think?

Even if it was a fungus they wouldn't refuse you. just let them know when they start to be gentle because of the bruise and so they don't use an anti-fungal on the nail

Really? I just always figured they wouldn't do your nails if you had a fungus. I just don't want them to get grossed out at the bruise! It's pretty much completely black and blue :(...not a pretty site!

It'll look completely different then a fungus. We ask our clients if a mark is new etc.to better see if its a fungus. You can also tell when you clean under the nail if its blood, a bruise or fungus. You'll be fine :)

I've worked at salons that refuse fungus and salons that don't. From my understanding your not supposed to. Most nail tecs should know the different between fungus and injury
