Southern California, contrary to what most people think, isn't just about the beach and a laid back style. If you wanna go for that then go right ahead, but coming from someone who lives in SoCal and has for 9 years, my advice would be to stick to what you like best, because in the end that's what California girls are like, unique to their own styles, and when you develop your own unique look, you'll be that free-spirited "Cali girl".
