Put hairspray on the comb/brush that you use to tease your hair...

Teasing clean hair doesn't work too well. You want to take area that you want teased, and "brush down" TEN TIMES then you want spray the back of where you teased. If you want REALLY big hair, tease in three sections.

To keep your back combing lift, you could use a hair powder like Got2B or Big Sexy...applying only to the scalp at the root. Then..just rub it in and your root volume will last. To refresh it..you just rub your fingertips on your scalp and it stays full and fluffy. You can get both powders at CVS. I'd also suggest trying a texturizing spray to add volume. Redken 28 is a killer, flexible hairspray.

Looks like you need to take cleaner sections and tease closer to the scalp. Looks like the hair is going out sideways not up.

You can also save some time by only washing your bangs and top layer of hair. Then tease the dirtier hair underneath- as it will tease better anyway.
