I think that it's mostly for marketing (NARS orgasm) and they're quite for me quite funny. I remember one day in shoppers I was with my sis and I'd seen soap and glory "glow job" and I burst out laughing.. But wanted to know since this is a really controversial topic.

^^ I Agree With Jacqlyn 100 Percent!

I also do not care for it at all. Like Jacqlyn said, it is not good especially for younger girls. Overall , it is really just unnecessary and a turn-off.

Its really really lame, for lack of a better word, and very corporation-gimmicky. Not to mention super innapropriate. Sure, some may argue that because it's a higher priced brand, not that many young girls will have exposure to it (which is totally not true, but I could some trying to argue that), but it happens at the drugstore, too. I was stocking the Pure Ice nail polishes at work, which are super cheap therefore lots of kids are going to pick these up, and noticed one of the polishes called "jailbait". Really?? So stupid and exposing a lot of unnecessary things in a very gross way. Wear orgasm blush and be sexy, wear jailbait nail polish and be cute. Barf.

Thanks Megan! I really wanted to know too since this is very important for so many people.

Honestly I like it I think they're different and creative. it's just a way of putting two things girls enjoy to make it more fun I guess (no disrespect). it doesn't bother me plus its unique so you can't confuse with any other product like you'll know exactly which item I'm talking about when I say the name..lol but on the other hand I definitely agree it's not right for young girls but then again young teens are not the customers high end makeup are aiming for. so I'm sure they don't have kids in mind when creating names. us parents just need to be a little more cautious and majority (not all) of parents don't buy a 13 year old a 40 dollar blush on regular basis.

I don't really care lol.

I'm kinda in the middle on it I don't like it but then I don't really care I'm 13 and I hear worse things at school from the guys since there kinda immature
I think that they could have more creative names then turning everything sexual but then it's just marketing and I understand for younger people but if your wearing makeup you should probably have some maturity especially if your buying it

@Megan it totally is disgusting, and that it can just pass like it's nothing is crazy. Calling something orgasm or better than sex is one thing, still not really appropriate and very gimmicky, but jailbait is totally overstepping boundaries.

Same here Megan! I'm only 15 but my first time at sephora NARS orgasm and TF better than sex were some of the first products I saw! I find that HE brands are marketed towards adults but it should be comfortable for any woman.

Jailbait sounds horrible!

The worst part of stuff like this is that it creates mildness to these concepts, and eventually it won't matter anymore. These things, concepts of sex appeal, ect, are okay for WOMEN, and I know when I was like 16 or so I wanted to be sexy, and looking back I feel so sad about that. That stuff doesn't matter, it's so hyped up and sold to kids and teenagers, and it's just the norm now, and even wore there's all this pressure to fulfill that norm.

There's this blush called "deep throat." I mean some of the names of funny but they overdo it sometimes.

Agreed! Like celebutard was taken off the market but names like 69 and worse is completely ignored! I think it's ridiculous imo.

I agree, sometimes they overdo it. But it doesn't really matter here; I live in Germany and most teenagers don't have sufficient knowledge of the English language to understand what these names mean (except 'sex', of course, which is universal).
I either laugh or shake my head, depends if it's still funny or over the top and offensive.

Many adults don't get the meanings either, now that I think about it, because of the language barrier, so it's kinda wasted :-)

It really isn't appropriate. Knowing things like that change the way you think, and not in a good way.

The sexually related names don't bother me, but Sexy Mother Pucker or Better Than Sex isn't something I want grandma finding in my purse...I think there are more ways to say "pink" or "blush" in a creative way then going to perverse sexual or crass way.

I'm 13 and I'm kind of offended everyone assumes 13 is so young and naive. I've used NARS orgasm ever since I started wearing makeup. Honestly it has never bothered me and neither has any other "perverse" names. I can assure you everyone in my grade knows what those things mean, and we find them amusing as well...?

I don't like it. It actually kind of embarrasses me and I'm not a prude; it's just so sexualized. We wear makeup for ourselves, but these names kinda make it something it really isn't. I don't know if this makes any sense.
Also, I can't imagine the images that come up on Google search with these type of names!

I'm also glad that this thread was created. Although I see no real problem for myself in the names of these products, it is slightly inappropriate... I personally do t mind purchasing a blush labeled orgasm or mascara called better than sex, however for younger girls to be exposed to this saddens me slightly. Not for the reasons one might think they would though. I just find it depressing that nowadays age doesn't really play a part in what your exposed to. I was unwillingly learning about terms like sex, orgasm, etc, in the sixth and seventh grade, all because of peers... It is a sad thought to think that innocence is taken away from young people everyday, at ages much to young... So do I feel they''re inappropriate, yes... Will that stop me from purchasing them? no. Have a lovely day ladies.

I don't like it. I'm 14 and when I'm shopping for makeup I don't want to tell my mom that it's the product I want, even if I really liked it. Some people might not know what that stuff is yet and if their parents don't want them to know then they shouldn't. Also, a little kid could be going through someones makeup and find it and learn words that aren't really appropriate to say in public.

When Y'all Become Moms & Your Young Daughter Asks If She Can Have Better Than Sex Or Orgasm Maybe Then You'll Understand Why They're Not Appropriate.

I think as long as the company makes a good product they have a right to call it what they want. True, it can be seen as inappropriate but I think that if you're buying high end makeup you should be mature enough to know those words, or at least in my experience.
