I was wondering if any of you had any good tips for getting pics to actually show the makeup a little better when taking pics specifically to post on here. I have done quite a few makeup applications that I felt looked pretty that I wanted to share but each time I took a pic it's like you couldn't even see any details of the makeup hardly at all. If I wanted it to actually show up I would have to pile it on like a clown!! Any tips? :)

Oh yes, colors tend to wash out in photos. :( I would suggest not taking it in so much bright light and also you can always mess with the contrast/brightness/etc.of your photos. Maybe that will help? Try using a white base all over your lid to make color pay off even more vibrant. Also investing in a good camera can really helps everything show up more clearly as it will be HD. :) I'm not sure just my thoughts xx

I've found that unless you have a ring light, natural light is best for photographing makeup. Especially when using a camera phone. You can always edit the brightness of your photos through a website such as picmonkey or something.
