Too often I hear that darker skinned beauties don't need to use bronzer and that its a pointless item for us. Well, I disagree. I love
using bronzers and illuminating bronzers to give my face a bronzy glow year round (especially during the summer). The key is picking the correct shade and texture. For my matte bronzers I tend to favor one with a slight red undertone as when I get a little sun exposure my skin tends to take on a lil red/brown flush so I apply bronzer in the zones that tend to get that flush. Then I pull out my bronzer illuminator to add a nice glow. To top it off I usually apply a bright apricot or hot pink blush just on the apply's of my cheeks making sure that everything is blended well so I don't look like a runway strip. I don't even bother with an eye look...just mascara & groomed brows. Bright lippie and skin is the focus.

Beautiful!! Shelley..do you happen to be Ethiopian? I ask because I work w a lady from Ethiopia and she is absolutely beautiful and I swear you guys are twins!! She has the gorgeous hair, flawless skin, and looks every bit of 24 (she is soon to be 40 though). You look amazing! Pardon me if that was rude but my curiosity urged me to ask!

@Tonita...I'm not offended at all and I actually consider it a compliment because the women are beautiful. I always get asked that...especially from Ethiopians. Beautiful people and the food is delish!!

@Alma...thank you. I keep wanting to call you Jackie...I get the two of you mixed up.lol.

Thank you beauties for the kudos...I also must add...this has to be done in natural light. I had to learn the hard way when I first started playing with bronzers...artificial light is not your friend.lol.
