Can someone tell me the difference between acrylic and solar nail?

I have been told that solar helps protect your nails better then regular acrylic. like from the sun and allot of other things.

Honestly I feel like the only real different. is that solar you get color tips and acrylic you get nail polish.. I'm not a pro btw. but when I get acrylic or solar, they feel the same! obviously acrylic is cheaper.

Solar is more expensive and is a brand name, it uses GND products. So being "brand name" it's higher quality product. That's the only difference.
