I've got a month til prom and hair and makeup appointments at salons and counters are becoming less and less available.
I really don't want to do my own hair and makeup but I feel like no one will be able to give me what I want. I wear clip in extensions and would need a hairstylist familiar with them (and my ethnic hair), and I've never been pleased when having my makeup done professionally.
If I decide to do my hair and makeup on my own, can you all please give me tips on how to get it to last. I'm talking from 4-5pm all the way to 4-5am. Through pictures, dinner, prom, dancing, hookah bar and the club.
Also, do you guys suggest getting it done professionally or doing it myself and why.
Sorry I've been blowing up BL with prom threads lately, it's pretty much the biggest and most stressful thing in my life right now!

Unless you do an updo, it is going to be quite the task to get it to stay. Hairspray will be your best friend! Make sure to bring clips, hairspray, and a brush in a little purse to do touchups throughout the night. Other than that, there isn't much you can do. Hope your prom is wonderful! Please post pics of your look on the day ❤️

My only advice:
-make sure to prime properly and set everything.
-a really cool thing I learned about was HD powder from Jacqueline h. It's a powder that absorbs oils in the skin without creating a flashback.
-Use a good FINISHING spray. Not setting spray. I also learned this from Jackie. She said finishing sprays is what makes the makeup waterproof (like sweat) and budge proof. Like Ben Nye final seal.
-I would also leave a comment on her page. She's a genius!
For hair, I'm usually like an expert. But I couldn't tell you since I can't figure that out myself.
The only thing that works for me is to leave my hair straight, that way I can comb out and it's easy to fix.
-the only thing that stayed curled for me was when I used synthetic hair (before I got into virgin I used to wear Sensationnel 28" hair.) I could curl it on a very low heat setting while it's damp with water and pin curl it. Let it dry and I'm good.
- you can also get a half wig for the event. I just bought one from hair sisters.com! Those vanessa fifth avenue ones are the bomb! So long and realistic!
-also you know to bring touch up stuff in your bag
