I was on accutane for 6 months and I cannot be more pleased! I have no scarring and haven't had ANY spot in over 5 months. My skin is no longer dry not oily and I am very happy with how it turned out. I've been off it for about 2 months now!

Wow! You look absolutely amazing! I have a few questions, do you think you could answer them? Do you need a prescription? Are there any side effects? Last one... My acne is very minimal, would it still work? Thanks :)

@autumn in order to get accutane you have to have a derma prescription. Compared to other people who have gone on accutane, mine wasn't even the worse. I never had cystic acne but they prescribed me to accutane because it was sooo persistent. If you see dermatologist they will probably give you tropical creams or antibiotics at first (that's what they did for me) and if nothing works, they might give you accutane. It is for SEVERE acne so the side effects are also severe. I never experienced peeling but my sister did and you have to moisturize SO much. I had cracked lips and carried Vaseline around constantly. The worst however for me, and this doesn't happen for everyone, I got very bad nose bleeds about 7 times a day to the point where I would cough up blood lol I know it's gross. However I no longer get them and I used nasal spray and took vitamin E and everything worked out. I moisturized with cetaphil from the tub. It was a hell of six months but very much worth it for me :)

Also WITHOUT insurance accutane can cost up to 1200 dollars! With it it's about 40 dollars a month. I also took a higher dosage newer version of it called absorbica (it had a lipid coating to help it absorb better) for the last two months of my treatment. Thank you all!

And also a pregnancy test a month because it can cause VERY dangerous birth defects! Do NOT get pregnant on this. Sorry I keep posting I keep remember things!

Whoa, that's a lot of side effects and stuff... I'll definitely go to a derm and see what's good for me, and such. Anyways, your skin looks great.

Accutane can also lead to severe sensitivity to sun.

@megan H sorry I'm just seeing this now! It did :( I didn't start seeing results until maybe month 3 or 4? It got real bad at month 2 because it was flushing your skin of everything! Thanks again you all :)
