What exactly is the flash pallette? I do a lot of body and face paint and its always intrigued me. is it like cream makeup or more like face paint?

How do you like the flash palette though? Are there matte shades in it too? I always feel like I need it for projects that me and my boyfriend (who is a filmmaker) want to do but I just haven't really looked into it quite yet.
