Toe nail problem

I know this isn't really makeup topic but I figured someone would see this that deals with feet. I get ingrown toe nails very often but this time has been different. For 2 weeks my toe has hurt and been swollen from an apparent ingrown. Only I cants see any toenail stuck. Now it is becoming discolored and purple bruising like. Should I see a doctor or pediatrist or just let it continue the way it is.
