What would you suggest? I've heard of the Bite brand, still not too familiar. But I have a terrible habit of picking the skin off my lips. And they are dry as it is. What's good or what do you swear by?

I've heard the Lucas Papaw ointment really works for chapped lips. :)

^no it doesn't, it's something like 50% petroleum jelly (which is a sealant, and doesn't moisturize at all). I highly recommend the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments, they're great. No petroleum, they really moisturize, but they feel thick on your lips like a vaseline product would (I personally like this, but you can also do thinner layers so that it doesn't feel thick)

I know it is pricey, but Fresh's sugar lip is fabulous. I love their tinted sticks and you can often find less expensive gift sets at QVC. Tarte has a killer lip scrub that soothes SBD hydrates for $18. You can also make your own lip scrub with brown sugar, cotton oil and hint of your favorite flavor extract. Nivea also has great lip products.

Also burts bees have really nice lip balms, really soothing and not too expensive.

I have the Tarte scrub...need to use it more. I guess I'm looking for more of a nighttime lip treatment, I'll have to look into that Fresh stuff.

In that case, also check out the Bite Agave Lip Mask! It's absolutely great. It also has a thicker consistency, which I like a lot for nighttime, and it smells good as well. When I wake up in the morning, my lips are smooth and nice :) it's really great stuff.

I agree with Hannah and Rozberry! A lip scrub will help and the Fresh lip treatment is hands down my favorite lip balm. It hydrates so well. LUSH also make good lip scrubs that are cheaper than Tarte but I love Tarte as a brand so I'm sure the splurge would be worth it. As Hannah mentioned already, in the future check the ingredients list and avoid lip products that have petroleum in them. They don't moisturize as well because the petroleum seals the skin and any good ingredients can't be absorbed. It will usually make your lips drier while giving the illusion they aren't.

Ah crap I see now you have the Tarte scrub lol. But I would try the Bite agave mask. It sounds lovely! I may pick it up for my birthday soon depending on how much birthday money I get hehe.
