Spraying perfume at the warmest spots of your body helps defuse the scent and keep the smell lasting longer:
Wrists
Inner arm (opposite side of the elbow)
Armpit
Back of neck
back of knees
Belly button
One thing to keep in mind:
According to theories of human perception, our brains get used to scents that linger so after some time you won't be able to smell yourself unless you sniff yourself intentionally. However, everyone else will still get a wiff of your beautiful fragrance :3

I spray some on my neck and a little in my hair. It works for me and people always say I smell nice when I hug them (since they smell your hair and not your skin)
