So I'm a competitive dancer and I need to wear lots of costumes that consist of just body suits with no tights. Me and a few friends (also dancers) are getting a brazilian tomorrow and I'm just wondering what I should do after or right before to make it go smoothly. The lady told us to take an advil before we go for swelling but anything else?

You might want to get some Neosporin just in case.

Before: Make sure the area is clean. That's really all. oh and remember to breath. The more relaxed your body is, the less painful waxing is.

After: If they don't apply a soothing balm (they should) apply a mixture of sweet almond oil (olive/grape seed/ sunflower work too) and drop of neosporin to the area with a cotton ball. This eliminates ingrowns and soothes the area. Wear loose cotton panties (granny panties work best) and sweats. you don't want anything tight in that area for at least 24 hrs!

good luck and have fun :)

Before: Shower

After: No panties or all cotton ones. No exercising, excessive physical activity, or bathing nor swimming. That evening, I'd apply Bikini Zone..but not until before bed. Wait 24 hours to shower...and when you do, use water on the cool side the first time. Exfoliate and reapply Bikini Zone.
I use "The Cool Fix" to prevent ingrown hairs as a routine.

Bikini Zone is seriously a lifesaver even when just shaving so I'd definitely recommend it.

Thanks guys! I got it done earlier today. I personally think I will be getting it done again. It wasen't awkward in the least bit my estician was amazing. It was an unbearable pain but the pain was constant. I have sensitive skin so I do have bruising but after I took an advil I'm okay! I'll be a rough day tomorrow but I think it'll be worth it :) thanks for your imput!!

You could also try sugaring. It's supposed to be a lot gentler and less painful because it doesn't stick to live skin, just dead skin cells and the hair, so there should be less tugging and hopefully no bruising and whatnot.
