Applying clear coats

Well, I do my nails once a week and I apply a base coat first. After I polish them, I apply my top coat. I normally apply another layer of top coat a day or two after and that's it. I don't apply anymore coats until the next time I do my nails. I don't have any chipping problems

Have you ever tried shellac? Last two weeks with non chipping and shiny
