I like it the way it is. And I love your texture. Woman buy hair to get what you have naturally.

Try a styling cream. Try products from Devacurl.

@Lisa: that looks really pretty! but would it suit my hair, I hate straightening my hair:S.

I think it would look good without straightening.
I would just add in some oils to give it some shine and some mousse or curling products:). You have really thick hair and I think adding those layers would definitely make it easier to style and too if you wanted to straighten it.

Long layers will keep length but make your hair healthier and look a lot better :)

Yea, I decided to get long layers yesterday, I was Leary because I did not want to lose my length, but with a side swept bang, now instead of blunt, it's still long and manageable. Can't wait to see your end result!

Long layers on long hair is the least amount of maintenance required for doing hair on a daily basis! I've had long layers and long hair for a very long time. I love it because I don't have to do my hair every day and I don't have to style it very often because the layer keep it easier to get away with my natural hair. But I love the way your hair is so you might be okay with just leaving it if you want:)

I love my hair but it's a lil too thick so it's difficult to manage and tame the frizz..

When I went to the salon Saturday, I met a woman who had a lot of "weight" to hair too, she said that they used thinning shears to her hair and it made a difference. Took away her thickness. Maybe that technique will help you too?
