Hello Simmie,
I'm no skin care guru but I'll try to answer all the questions that you had about your skin care.
Firstly, your a little broad on what kind of skin lumps and bumps your having. Are they small little clustered bumps, all over your face and other bodies parts (arms legs chest), or perhaps are they pimples? or the horrid ingrown pimples?
In order to assist you find a perfect skin care routine, the community needs to specifically know these little small details.
I personally haven't tried the AVON skin care routine personally, but if you are finding that you, enjoy and feel the freshness of the face wash, I would certainly keep using this product. If you are unable to find a review here on beautylish of the product, I highly suggest databases such as makeupalley reviews.
My personal skin care regime, consists of the Clinque 3 step system. I have the oily 3 step system to help reduce the oiliness throughout the day. However, a brand that I will want to try in the near future is Mario Bedescu, I have heard great things about the brand.
It is important to wash your face as you need to remove impurities and dirt that are within your pores. Washing your face twice daily (morning and night) can really help reduce further breakouts black heads etc. Toning is important as well, as it will remove any of the excess dirt, that the face wash is unable to do. It also balances out the oils into the skin. moisturizing, is a bit of common sense, it brings moisture back into the skin and helps reduce wrinkles fine lines in the future.
now here is the confusing bit. There are a minority of people (beautylish has done an article on this) who have phobias of water on the face, and only use face wipes and moisturizer I believe.
Overall though, its your personal preference, but to achieve flawless skin I would suggest do all three for a period of time and see if it makes a difference. if not? well adjust your skin care regime and try again.
Its taken me a long time of searching and searching to find my perfect cleansing regime.
Good luck Simmie K!
Take care

Cosign on the Aveeno! I use their Positively Radiant line and I had a large very obvious sunspot right above my eyebrow that is nearly invisible now thanks to that. Absolutely suggest that brand.
